Welcome to Last Footprints!

We have two goals:

1. Helping people address end of life issues for themselves and their loved ones.

• We’ll talk about exploring options, deciding what we really want, communicating our wishes to loved ones and caregivers, and doing what needs to be done so our choices are honored.

• We’ll provide short pieces on a wide variety of topics, such as ethical wills, green burial, advance directives, housing options, tips for solo agers, caregiving issues, mindfulness meditation for pain relief, and tips for instigating difficult conversations.

• We’ll provide links to the work of national leaders in the field and invite local providers and thought leaders to contribute as well.

2. Laying the groundwork for a natural burial site in our area.

• We’re raising awareness of the concept.

• We’re joining and participating in PA and national green burial organizations and researching applicable regulations and protocols.

• We’re building a coalition with as many related local, state and federal organizations as possible as well as local church and civic groups and individuals who support this effort.

• We’re looking for potential sites in the Union/Snyder County area.

• We’re working on a business plan and assessing the market.

• We’re devoting a fundraising plan.
